Graffiti Styles
Tag
A tag is the most basic form of graffiti: a writer's name or initials, written quickly in a unique handstyle. Tags are about recognition and practicing flow.
Throw-up
A throw-up is bigger than a tag and often uses bubble letters with a quick fill and outline. It's fast to paint but more visible than a tag.
Piece
A "piece" (short for masterpiece) is detailed, colorful, and carefully planned. Writers use fills, shadows, and outlines to create artwork that takes time.
Wildstyle
Wildstyle is a complex form of graffiti where letters interlock and twist with arrows and connections. It often looks abstract and can be hard to read.
Stencil / Mural
Stencil graffiti uses cutouts to spray precise shapes, while murals are large artworks painted on walls. Both focus more on imagery and message than letters.
